In February of 2014, Harvard WECode hosted its inaugural conference at Harvard University’s Northwest Labs, bringing together over 200 attendees to inspire and empower women in technology.

Drawing inspiration from Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In, the event fostered a space for women to connect, learn, and grow in their technical careers.

Attendees heard from visionary keynote speakers, including Rebecca Parsons (CTO at ThoughtWorks), Kimberly Lockhart (Box), and Marie L. Kirk (Goldman Sachs), who shared their journeys and insights into breaking barriers in the tech industry.

WECode 2014 was proudly supported by industry leaders like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Intuit, setting the stage for a legacy of impactful events to come.
