We are dedicated to making WECode accessible to everyone.

Over the past few years, we've been developing efforts to make our conference as inclusive as possible, and we're grateful to all parties that have enabled us to work towards this ongoing initiative. For the 2025 WECode Conference, we are excited to announce that we're expanding our impact and offering a generous scholarship that will help make the in-person WECode experience possible to more prospective attendees.

The WECode 2025 scholarship covers the full cost of the conference ticket priced at our early bird ticket rate, and provides financial aid for travel and other related expenses. This award amount totaling to $200 will go towards your WECode conference ticket purchase AND related transportation expenses (including but not limited to flight cost, additional food, transportation, etc.).

These scholarships are limited, and will be distributed to those who

1. are in the most financial need, and

2. would benefit the most from the in-person conference experience (demonstrated by essay responses).

Please note, if you are accepted as a WECode tech fellow, your scholarship award amount of $200 excludes the price of the WECode conference ticket as all tech fellows receive free admission to the event. Only current undergraduate students identifying as a woman or of a gender minority are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Scholarships are offered on a case-by-case need and merit-based model. Only current undergraduate students (either domestic or international) are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Please put time and thought into your responses.

The deadline to apply for a scholarship is in the first round is 11:59 PM EST, November 17th, 2024. Applicants will be notified via email on their decision. Scholarship recipients will be announced by the first week of December. Please acknowledge that we may request appropriate documentation or ask for additional information.
