Apply for WECode Scholarships

We are dedicated to making WECode accessible to everyone. For the 2025 WECode Conference, we are offering a generous scholarship that will help make the in-person WECode experience possible.

If you need financial assistance, we are offering this scholarship to cover the full cost of the conference ticket and possible transportation or housing expenses. Only current undergraduate students identifying as a woman or of a gender minority of any race/ethnicity are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

The WECode scholarship covers the full cost of the conference ticket, and provides financial aid for travel and other related expenses. This award amount will total $200 to go towards your WECode conference ticket purchase AND related transportation expenses (including but not limited to flight cost, additional food, transportation, etc.). These scholarships are limited, and will be reserved for those who are 1) in the most financial need and 2) would benefit the most from the conference experience (demonstrated by essay responses). Please note, if you are accepted as a WECode tech fellow, the ticket cost will be deducted from your scholarship.

Scholarships are offered on a case-by-case need and merit-based model. Only current undergraduate students (either domestic or international) are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Please put time and thought into your responses.

Scholarship recipients will still need to buy their own tickets in advance if they are applying for a scholarship covering the cost of the ticket. Recipients receiving a scholarship will later be reimbursed the cost of the ticket.

The deadline to apply for a scholarship is [TBA]. Applicants will be notified via email on their decision. Scholarship recipients will be announced on a rolling basis.

Apply for WECode Housing

WECode is offering on-campus housing options thanks to our student volunteers. If you would like to be hosted by a student within the Boston area, please complete the Attendee Campus Housing Form linked via the application button.

Although we cannot guarantee a match with a student host as availability is limited, we strongly encourage you to join the WECode Family Slack workspace and use the #housing-2024 channel with the following spreadsheet to find roommates to split potential costs of housing.
