What are the common modes of transportation within the Cambridge/Boston area?

In the following guide, we will be referencing several modes of public transportation such as the MBTA (the T), which costs $2.40 per ride, and local bus lines, which typically cost $1.70 per ride. Reserving an Uber or other ridesharing services is definitely another way to go, especially if you can carpool with others!

How long should I book my stay for?

At a minimum, we advise attendees to secure housing for Saturday night if arriving in Boston Saturday morning, and Friday and Saturday nights for those arriving one day prior to the conference weekend. Estimated pricing for accommodations in this guide are calculated based on a two-night stay.
