WECode 2016
February 27-28, 2016
Overview
On February 27-28, 2016, WECode hosted its largest conference yet, welcoming over 600 attendees to Northwest Labs at Harvard University. Featuring four dynamic keynote speakers—Laura Butler (Microsoft), Cathryn Posey (U.S. Digital Services), Tracy Chou (Pinterest), and Pooja Sankar (CEO of Piazza)—the event provided an unparalleled platform for learning, networking, and inspiration. Additional lightning talks from Julie Elberfeld (Capital One) and Marie Chatfield (Square) further enriched the experience.
The conference offered 11 workshops and 6 panels spanning a wide range of topics, from FinTech, Fashion x Tech, and Machine Learning with Google to entrepreneurship, product management, and UI/UX design. Highlights included interactive sessions such as “Analyzing Taylor Swift Lyrics in Python” with Dropbox and “Intro to 3D Printing” with Formlabs, demonstrating the diverse applications of technology.
