WECode 2019

Held at Harvard University's Science Center, WECode 2019 was the largest and most dynamic conference in its history, bringing together hundreds of attendees for a weekend celebrating innovation, community, and empowerment in technology. Attendees were treated to a Coursera discount code for free coding and tech-related courses, ensuring the conference's impact extended well beyond the weekend.
The event featured inspiring keynotes by Dara Treseder, Margaret Mayer, Catarina Macedo, Pooja Sankar, and Jessica McKellar, each sharing their unique perspectives on leadership, innovation, and inclusivity in tech. With over 30 breakout sessions, participants engaged in workshops like Intro to Deep Learning by MathWorks, Design Thinking with Capital One, and “Oh Snap! Intro to IoT Camera Hacking” with Tulip Interfaces. Panels explored topics such as Diversity and Inclusion in Tech, Gaming with Vicarious Visions, AR/VR, and so much more!
Interactive activities added a lively dimension to the weekend, including Zumba with Google, Yoga with IMC Trading, Bracelet Making with Capital One, and Mocktails with Bloomberg. Attendees also enjoyed WECode’s Got Talent! with Comcast and Desserts and Trivia in Ticknor Lounge.
The conference concluded with an Opportunities Fair, connecting participants with top tech companies, as well as fellow attendees.
