In this conversation, she will share her journey, strategies for navigating and overcoming bias in tech, and the importance of mentorship.   • Workshop with Carrie Mckee | Cybersecurity @ Pepsico

    Gather Room 4

    Carrie McKee is a cybersecurity professional with 10 years of experience in the field and 25 years of overall IT experience. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in supply chain management and began her career in PepsiCo IT supporting the Frito Lay business unit. After several years building and deploying various systems, Carrie moved into PepsiCo’s Global Cybersecurity function in 2015 to help build out the policy and standards, data classification, and awareness and training programs. She spent two years leading security architecture before returning to GRC as Senior Director where her team is responsible for identifying, assessing, and reporting on cyber risk at PepsiCo to all levels of the organization.

    Carrie and her husband, Chris, have two teenaged sons and, when she isn’t attending one of their many functions, she loves to read, try out new cookie recipes, and travel the world.

    In this panel, the panelists will discuss the policymaking side of AI. Specifically, they will share how we can incorporate ethical thinking into the education process and government regulations, ensuring responsible AI ethics.

  • Solo Talk with Konstantina Christakopoulou | Senior Research Engineer @ Google Deepmind

    Gather Room 5

    Konstantina Christakopoulou is the founder and tech lead of the Project ALLY Google Brain Moonshot, aimed at the next-generation of assistive recommendation helping users throughout their lifelong journey.

    As a senior research engineer in Google DeepMind, she has led multiple cross-PA efforts on aligning industrial recommendation platforms with human values, publishing in top-tier conferences and delivering 20+ launches, working closely with senior leadership at Google.

    Prior to Google, she received her PhD from the University of Minnesota, during which she completed research internships in Google Research and Microsoft Research, and first-authored influential works on conversational recommendation.

  • Fireside Chat with Christine Sun | Research Engineer @ Google Deepmind

    Christine is a Research Engineer at Google DeepMind, multiple-time hackathon winner, and recent graduate from Princeton University. Her work on agents and human-AI collaboration interfaces was awarded Princeton's Outstanding Computer Science Senior Thesis prize.

  • [Streaming] “Navigating a Winding Career Path in Tech” with Suzanne Plummer

    Fellow and CVP of Technical Diversity and Development @ AMD

    Suzanne Plummer is a Fellow and Corporate Vice President of Technical Diversity and Development at AMD. In this role, she is responsible for improving the technical talent pipeline for females within AMD. Prior to this role, she spent 33-years as a technical individual contributor and engineering leader.  She worked for Motorola and a start-up called Alchemy Semiconductor before joining AMD.  After joining AMD in 2002, she led design teams behind AMD’s most innovative technologies, including the low power x86 microprocessor used in the world's first APU and the x86 microprocessor powering all of AMD’s game console wins.  Suzanne also directed the teams that designed the Zen architecture – which power AMD’s new microprocessors and drove the company’s re-entry into the high-performance x86 market.  She then transferred to the semi-custom group, driving all game console products for Microsoft.  Her last four years on technical work were in the Radeon Technologies Group, leading all SOC programs for discrete and data center graphics.
